From night shift yesterday, I had to book an appointment with my OB doctor. So I called the clinic and this nice Nurse was very accommodating enough to call me back for instructions. I had to be, like, on-call, by sleeping and then waking up again for the Nurse’s call regarding my appointment. See, the clinic is closed every Friday. The Doctor specifically instructed me to call the clinic on my first day of period to book an appointment the next day for my second day of period. Since my first period started on a Friday, I had to book an appointment on the second day. I don’t even know why it’s supposed to be on the second day but I’m guessing it has something to do with the days I took the hormone pills.
The Nurse called me 3 times. One, to ask me what the appointment was about and told me she will call me back to open my file and show the Doctor. I slept. After 2 hours, I woke up to her call and asked me some questions. Then she hang up and said she will call back. I slept. At around 2pm, she called and told me to go to the clinic for blood test. So I immediately jumped out of bed, had a quick shower and dragged my husband to the clinic.
The clinic was empty when we arrived. When a staff saw me, she asked my name and called the Nurse I’ve spoken to on the phone. She said the Doctor wants to have my hormones checked. Apparently, I don’t have to see the doctor. After 3 to 5 days, the Nurse will call me back for the result and book an appointment with the doctor regarding the next step. Then we left the clinic.
My husband and I went to a nearby mall to kill time before heading to the church to hear mass. Then we had dinner and went home.
I didn’t go to the hospital where I’m working for check up for some reasons. I don’t like any of the OB-Gyne specialists there. I don’t like the Maternity staffs and I don’t like seeing my colleagues seeing me having an appointment where they can access my file through the computer. I like to have my own privacy away from scrutinizing colleagues.
This is going to be a long process of conceiving. I hope we could finally have our little bundle of joy soon.
